Nigerian afrobeat singer and songwriter who is musically known as Wizkid has dropped a new album which he titles “Morayo”, it is the sixth studio album of the artist and was was released on 22nd December, 2024 through RCA Records and Starboy Entertainment.
According to Wizkid, this album serves as a tribute to his late mother Morayo Balogun, and is a celebration of life, love and legacy.
The album was produced by P2J with contributions from other producers like P. Priime and Damedame, and it also has guest features from artists like Asake, Anaïs Cardot, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, and Tiakola

Wizkid’s newly released album titled “Morayo” has made a record-breaking start on both streaming platforms and radio in Nigeria, in fact it has broken the record as the most streamed song on Spotify Nigeria history in a single day.
Another single from the album titled ‘Piece Of My Heart’ held the previous record.
This record breaking shows that Morayo is off to a strong start, and with its first single debuting at No. 1 and the second single following suit, the album requires eight additional entries to surpass this record.
