Born on March 15, 1989, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, whose stage name serves as his first name is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and CEO of YBNL record labe.

Having played very vital role to the success of so many Nigerian artists, even the ones he did not sign to his record label, Olamide is considered as one of the most influential artist from Nigeria.

He began his own musical career in 2011 after after the release of his debut studio album titled Rapsodi, which was released on the record label he was signed to at that time.

When he started his musical career in 2011, Olamide was signed to ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes record label where he released his debut album titled “rapsodi”. he was managed by Toni Payne while signed to Coded Tunes.

His debut album Rapsodi had a lead single titled, “Omo To Shan”, which charted on several radio stations in Lagos and across Nigeria. He collaborated with numerous artists on this album which included, Wizkid, ID Cabasa, 9ice, Reminisce and D’banj

And in 2012, Olamide left Coded Tunes to start his own record label known as YBNL Nation record label.

After launching YBNL record, Olamide released his second studio album in November 2012. The production of this album was handled by Tyrone, Samklef, 2 Kriss, Pheelz, and ID Cabasa, and it featured guest appearances from Davido, Tiwa Savage, Kayswitch, Dammy Krane, Reminisce, Samklef, Buckwylla, Minus 2 and Base One.

Singles which were included in the hit album was: “Ilefo Illuminati”, “First of All”, “Stupid Love” and “Voice of the Street”

Olamide is currently signed to his own record label known as YBNL Nation which is an acronym for Yahoo Boys No Laptop.
