It always gladdens my heart to see how record labels are emerging and waxing strong in Nigeria day in day ot, because back in our days we had very few record labels operating in Nigeria.
I can vividly remember three record labels that were operating in the entire country back then were Kennis Music which was home to 2Baba, Cornerstone Records which was a home to the Danfo Drivers and Mo’Hits Records which was a home to D’Banj and had Don Jazzy as the co-founder and in-house producer.
Today, there are so many outstanding and top record labels in Nigeria and one of such is known as Marlian Records.
In this article therefore, I am going to give you the complete list of the Marlian Record label members as well as when and how they were founded by the record label.
But before we do so, I will reveal to you the new signee of Marlian Record and why one of their members known as Mohbad who died recently left the label.
So without further ado, let’s get started with this article.
Who is the new signee of Marlian?
The new signee of Marlian is known as Vusic, and he was officially unveiled on June 6 across all the social media handles of the label’s founder and owner, Naira Marley.
Vusic is therefore set to take the Nigerian music industry by storm with new hits before the end of this 2023 closes.
Why Mohbad left Marlian music.
Mohbad left Marlian Music in 2022 because he wanted to establish his own record label known as Imolenization and start releasing his own songs as well as sign new artists toto the label in due course.
The former dream became a reality when he was able to release an EP titled “Blessed’ in June 2023 under his own record label, but the latter dream may never come to light because he passed away untimely on 12th September 2023.
Mohbad’s death is currently causing problems for Marlian Record label because people everywhere are insinuating he died due to the ongoing problem that sustained between him and his former record label, Marlian Music.

1. Naira Marley.
Born Azeez Adeshina Fashola, Naira Marley is the founder and CEEO of Marlian Records. The record label was launched in December 30, 2019 during the Marlian Fest Concert at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos State.
That same night the record label was launched, Naira Marley unveil the 4 artists he has already signed into the record label as Zinoleesky, Cblack, Mohbad and Fabian Blu.
Unfortunately for Naira Marley, one of his best artists, Mohbad announced his exit from the record label 3 years later, precisely 2022, and he passed away in 2023 after releasing an EP titled Blessed under his very own new imprint “Imolenization’.
2. Zinoleesky.
Zinoleesky whose real name is Oniyide Azeez is one of the four artists Naira Marley unveiled on the night he launched Marlians Record label.
He has popular songs like ‘Mapariwo’, ‘Kilofeshe’, ‘Naira Marley’, and ‘Gone Far’, and is reckoned as the fastest rising and relevant artists in the label after his boss Naira Marley comes first.
According to Zinoleesky in an interview, he said he did not object to join the record label when Naira Marley made the offer available to him.
3. CBlack.
Real name Olamilekan Kazeem Kudus, Cblack was one of the 4 artists that was unveiled as the Marlian Records signees the very night the record label was launched in December 2019.
Before then he had already featured in Naira Marley’s Lampa EP on the song “Tingasa”. Ever since he joined the Marlian record label, Cblack has a couple of songs to his credit and some of them include ‘Belinda’, ‘Opor Yeh’, and ‘Shade’.
4. Fabian Blu.
Inim Fabian also known as Fabian Blu is a 26 year old singer and songwriter who hails from Esit Eket in Akwa Ibom State and is a Theatre and Media Studies graduate of The University Of Calabar.
He was among the very first 4 artists signed to Marlian Records in 2019. But few months after being signed to the record label, Fabian Blu accused Marlian music of not promoting his as they were doing his other label mates as Zinoleesky.
Fabian Blu released the song “Sisi Nene” under Marlian Records. The song is still making waves and is said to be his first official single.
5. Tori Keeche.
Tori Keeche whose real names are Isiogu Chibundu Kenechukwu is known as the First Lady of Marlian Records and she hails from Anambra State in Nigeria.
Tori began his journey into the music industry in 2018 after releasing a song which was titled “Issa Goal”, and after being signed to the Marlian record label she did a song which was titled Yoga with the CEO of the label.
And due to the influence of the record label, the song has been said to be streamed 150,000 timed ever since t’s release.
6. Vusic.
Real name Igwe Victor Nnaemeka, Vusic was born on August 8, 2002 and on June 2023 his musical career reached a significant milestone after the CEO of Marlian Records, Naira Marley announced across all his social media handles that the talented young guy has been signed under his record label.
For Vusic this was a significant achievement because it will allow him to join the ranks of other talented artists like Zinoleesky, Cblack, Fabian Blu etc. who are already a part of the Marlian Family.
Vusic new chapter in the music industry began with the release of his latest release titled, “History.” This track is expected to serve as a warm welcome into the Marlian Family and a testament to his artistic growth and potential.
We are hoping to see the mark this new signee to Marlian records is going to make in the Nigerian music industry.
