Asake Drops New Surprise Single Titled “Millitary”.

After appearing at the 67th Grammy’s where he was nominated for Best African Music Performance, Nigerian afrobeat superstar, Asake, has dropped a brand new single which he titles ‘Millitary”.

The song is coming on the heels of Asake’s appearance at the Grammy’s where he rocked a military camouflage two-piece.

Commenting on why he wore a military’s camouflage to the Grammy’s, Asake revealed to the press that he is living in an era where he is choosing to do whatever he wishes.

This statement is also seen reflecting on his new single where he chooses to render his vocals in his local Yoruba dialect as opposed to his proficiency in the global English language.

In the single “Millitary’, Asake sings and raps in Yoruba, letting his detractors know that he doesn’t feel that much great whenever he attempts to sing in English language.

Asake also boosted that he is richer than all the other artists in his generation and also reveals that he could chose to drop a surprise album this year while still laying emphasis on his decision to do whatever he wishes in this year 2025.

This new single ‘Millitary” is only available on Audiomack, and it could also be recalled that Asake has already teased two new songs earlier this year as he aims to remain relevant in the Nigerian music industry.
