Wizkid Refers To Fuji Icon, Wasiu Ayinde As His Favorite Artist.

Nigerian afrobeat superstar known musically as Wizkid has refered to Nigerian Fujji Icon, Wasiu Ayinde a.k.a De Ultimate as his favorite artist.He made this revelation during a brief interview with the children of the Fuji king when he paid a courtesy visit to their Ijjebu Ode residence over the recent loss of his mother.
When he was asked who his favorite Nigerian artist is, Wizkid did not waste time to name Wasiu Ayinde as “his favourite artist in the universe”.The singer went on to praise the Fuji icon for inspiring generations after another with his music and he admired his musical work calling it a testament to the Fuji legend’s lasting legacy.
The singer further hailed the celebrated Fuji icon for using his music to inspire different genrations including his own.It is worth noting that Wasiu has had a career that has spanned over four decades and he has been a major force in the Nigerian music industry as far as Fuji music iss concerned.
Wizkid and Wasiu has maintained a close relationship over the years and it could be recalled that the Fuji superstar performed during Wizkid’s mother funeral ceremony held in 2024.Also Wizkid has sampled part of Wasiu performance in the opening track of his recently released sixth album ‘Morayo’.
