Born Habeeb Okikiola Badmus on 12 March 1994, Nigerian artists who is popularly known as Portable is a singer, songwriter and rapper who hails from Abeokuta in Ogun State, Nigeria.
Portable came into the music limelight after the release of his hit single titled “Zazoo Zeh”, where he featured Nigerian rapper and YBNL boss Olamide and Popular Nigerian dancer Poco Lee.
When he blew in the Nigerian music industry, there was rumors flying round that Portable became famous because he has a record deal, but the artists debunked the rumors when he revealed on his official Instagram account that he did not sign any record deal with a record label to become famous.
“I’m not concerned about what they are saying online. Nobody signed me, I don’t have a boss, only God is the boss. What’s the point of having money and not being able to spend it. If you have money, help with it,” the Zazoo croner said.
But after becoming famous, Portable will go on to establish his own record label, and for the sake of those inquiring to know if Portable has a record label, we are writing this post to reveal to give an answer to that question.
Does Portable have a record label?
Nigerian artist Portable has an independent record label which is known as Zeh Nation.
In 2022, Portable signed a new artists “Young Duu” into his record label but after a little misunderstanding between the two, Young Duu would disassociate himself from Portable’s record label.
The following year, precisely 2023, Portable signed another new artist known as Monke into his record label, Zeh Nation.
In an Instagram post posted by Portable on Saturday, the Zazoo crooner shared a a video of himself introducing Monke to the fans and supporters of his record label.
He captioned the video; “MONKE Lanje Malogbe Igesi ZEHNATION many, many inspiration @tmizzybabamonkeh.”
But we can’t really tell if this record deal saw the light of day because the artist is not making that much wave as he should.
