The music industry has experienced a lot of back and forth in recent times due to music artists calling out their respective record labels over record deals that goes soar.
Recently we learnt that Asake left YBNL records while Shallipopi and Seyi Vibes both exited Dapper Music and now Spyro has also joined the cue by claiming that he was exploited by Paulo Okoye while he was signed to his record label.

Spyro is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who was born Oludipe Oluwasanmi David on 1st October 1990, he became a popular musician in Nigeria after releasingย his single titled “Billing” in July 2022.

Spyro is signed to Paul Okoye’s record label even though there is an ongoing feud between him and his boss, it is worth noting that he is not yet relieved of his ongoing record deal.

Nigerian singer Spyro has appeared on a trending podcast too call out the defunct MMM Boss ๐จ๐ฏ๐ถ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ธ๐น๐ถ๐ป, as well as the former boss of the record label that signed him, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐น๐ข.
Spyro, who was formerly signed to Paul Okoye’s record label, shared his unfavorable experience while under the label. According to him, even though he was signed to a Record label owned by a billionaire who owns 3 rolls royce he still had to take loans to support his music career because he was treated like shit by his boss Paulo.
Spyro sat down to an interview with Echo Room, to reveal that he had to take a loan to support himself while signed to the label, and all this was because he wasn’t earning anything.
Although he referred to Paul Okoye as a good man he however added that the talent manager was not good at running a record label because he was absent all the while.
Responding to this allegations, the shared receipts on his Instagram story that shows how he spent N12 million on the singer during his time at the label.
According to him, he spent a total of N12 million on Spyro but sadly he never made any return from investing in the singer.
Spyro has now responded with more details about their issue and how he was invited to One Africa Fest at Wembley, an event that was organized by his record label owner but was left stranded after he was chased out from his hotel room.
