Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, who is musically known as Gunna, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter and in this post we are going to take a look at the record label that is responsible for the success of his musical career.
Gunna was born in College Park, Georgia and he was raised by a single mother alongside his four elder brothers. By age fifteen, Gunna took a dive into the music business after spending his early years listening to popular rap stars like Outkast, Cam’ron, Chinqy etc.
Educationally wise, Gunna has attended the following educational institutions: North Springs Charter School of Arts and Sciences, Banneker High School, Langston Hughes High School, and Creekside High School (Georgia).
His musical career saw the light of the day in 2013 when he released his mixtape titled Hard Baby under the name Yung Serg.
Having seen a clue about his early life and career, let’s move in to reveal the record label that Gunna is signed to.
Which Record Label Is Gunna Signed To?
Gunna is still signed to Young Thugs YSL records and according to Billboard.com Gunna made the declaration ““I’m still signed to YSL, I’m still providing. We still pushing. No paperwork has been changed. So it’s like, whatever’s been getting and how we’ve been pushing this s–t, it’s still going.”
It could be recalled that after his arrest in May 2022 due to the YSL RICO case, the rapper Gunna was granted bail through an Alford Plea in December of the same year after pleading guilty to a single charge and being sentenced to face five years in prison.
Gunna was only given one year of the sentence while the rest of the years was suspended.
Amid the trial, things are appearing to be cool between Gunna and the CEO of his record label, Young Thug, and evidence is seen in a photo shoot where Thug’s father and Gunna shared an embrace.
